Yucca x schottii Hatchita, NM

Yucca x schottii is a new-comer in the yucca gardening. The plants were seed grown from near Hatchita, NM at 5000ft. We collected the seed several years ago and so far the plants from this site have taken -11F with no issue. Several local gardens grow this plant and have as much luck as us. Plants are a faster growing species that eventually creates a trunk and can reach 10ft tall. The plants we collected the seed off of were 6ft tall and growing in open mesquite-yucca grasslands. Yucca x schottii is a combination of Yucca baccata, yucca elata and yucca madrensis.
 
I do not guarantee these in a zone 5/6/7 because everyones growing conditions are different but this would be a good trial plant to grow in your cold outdoor garden. Try to plant outdoor 90 days before 1st hard freeze.
