Opuntia "Arroyo Hondo'

Opuntia "Arroyo Hondo'  is a miniature hybrid species of opuntia involving opuntia fragilis and opuntia macrorhiza and opuntia polyacantha may be involved too.  Result are these miniature species with long top spines. The original stems were collected near Arroyo Hondo, NM at 7600ft. These are mostly yellow flowering that fades to oranges and peaches. These can create large mats but are also very dense plants. These were nice little plants for any garden. This area gets well into -20f's during winter.
 
Plants available in 3.5" pots and most are growing. Expect a loose or missing pads as they still exhibit fragile growth on new stems.
