Cylindropuntia x kleinii Santa Rosa, NM
Cylindropuntia kleinii is a natural hybrid between Cylindropuntia imbricata and Cylindropuntia leptocaulis. These are an upright bush forming cholla. This hybrid is more cold hardy than either parent and can tolerate -22F or maybe more. These bushes errupt in flower in June or July and have one of the best displays amongst the Cholla group.
Plants for sale are un-rooted cuttings.
I do not guarantee these in a zone 5/6/7 because everyones growing conditions are different but this would be a good trial plant to grow in your cold outdoor garden. Try to plant outdoor 90 days before 1st hard freeze.
