Aloinopsis rubrolineata
Aloinopsis rubrolineata is one of the most unique in the genera aloinopsis. It has wide leaves and looks more like a tongue-rock or fossil that flowers. Plants have taken 0F for me in Colorado, definately a good plant to trial in your rock garden. This is one of the largest in the genus and probably has the largest flowers. Very worth growing in the garden. Plants did not survive -16.6F this winter but they were out of sync and trying to bloom when the polar vortex slammed into our very mild winter.
I do not guarantee these in a zone 5/6/7 because everyones growing conditions are different but this would be a good trial plant to grow in your cold outdoor garden. Try to plant outdoor 90 days before 1st hard freeze.
