Agave utahensis forma eborispina Lake Mead form

Agave utahensis forma eborispina  has proven to be hardy in Colorado taking -11F on a few occasions. This particular form has been growing in our garden for 10+ years and bloomed several times. Blooming plants have reached only 28" acros and 15" tall, occasionaly clumping but this tends to be more solitary.  Seed origin is the East side of Las Vegas near Lake Mead.

I do not guarantee these in a zone 5 because everyones growing conditions are different but this would be a good trial plant to grow in your cold outdoor garden. Extreme drainage is required for this species. Try to plant outdoor 90 days before 1st hard freeze.
