Agave havardiana Glass Mts Form

Agave havardiana from the Glass Mts in Texas may be the most cold hardy form. I belive they have some Agave asperrima (syn: A. scabra) in there genetics. This makes them more silver than some of the other populations and also have rougher skin. This location has done much better than the Davis Mtn plants. Plants have taken -22F in colorado and several negative teens. 
 
I do not guarantee these in a zone 5 because everyones growing conditions are different but this would be a good trial plant to grow in your cold outdoor garden. Try to plant outdoor 90 days before 1st hard freeze.
